Grab a scrap of paper (yes, paper) and pull up your last 5 message pairs: their reply → your reply.
For each pair, jot:
Gap = minutes between their message and yours.
Length = number of visible lines you sent back (no word-count gymnastics, just how many lines show before the “more” fold).
Day Index = Mon = 1 … Sun = 7.
Now run the quick math: Drift Metric = Length ÷ Gap × Day Index.
Do it five times, average the score.
If today’s score is 25% lower than Saturday’s, momentum is bleeding out.
